I build systems that can prove what they did. Most of my work lives where cryptography meets machine learning, and the question I keep returning to is not whether a model is clever but whether anyone can check its work afterwards.

I also write. Books, mostly, about how we learn to trust machines we cannot fully see. I grew up in Norway and I work from Bali, so I tend to think about the same problems in two very different kinds of light.

I work mostly alone, from a laptop, with a team of self-directed AI agents that keep going while I train or sleep. What was long a dry corner of the field is now something the largest AI companies are racing toward. I got there early, and I anchor what I build in a growing portfolio of patents.
