Gravity

The idea: this homepage recomposes each night around whichever chapter is closest to done, scored by a gravity formula, words written this week, how settled the text is against last snapshot, and days left to deadline. That cron, and the real chapter feed it needs, are not built yet, so what you see below is the instrument itself: the same formula, running live in your browser against three illustrative candidates, not real manuscript pages.

About this room

This instrument is calibrated but not yet fed. The three factors and the gravity formula are real and computed live in this tab, nothing simulated about the math itself. The three candidates on the dial are placeholder slots, not the three published books on the Writing page; those are finished manuscripts, not chapters still in motion. Once the box's nightly cron and the book agent's chapter feed exist, the dial reads real numbers instead of these sliders, the formula and the hundred-word gate holding exactly as they are here.
