The idea: one generated drawing appears each night, deterministic seed equal to the date, so anyone, anywhere, regenerates the exact same drawing from the same date with no server and no stored file. That determinism is real below: today's drawing, regenerated on demand from today's date, always comes out identical. The one piece still missing is the box's nightly cron, the thing that would commit each night's drawing to a permanent archive and push it into the RSS feed on its own; today the feed holds a single seed entry.

In plain terms: the moment this drawing was generated, your browser locked its exact shape into a long code using a one-time secret key. Clicking Verify re-does that lock from scratch and checks it still matches. If the drawing had been swapped for a different one, even by a single pixel of its underlying geometry, it would not. It works like a wax seal made just for this one drawing: break the seal, and you know it was changed.
This key is generated fresh for this one visit, the same scoping as the Heartbeat room. A persistent bjornvhauge.com signer, once it exists, replaces this key with a durable one and starts committing nightly; the drawing code does not change.
